Speaker Bio
Col Bryon McClain is the Program Executive Officer (PEO) for Space Combat Power, Space Systems Command, at Los Angeles Air Force Base, California. He directs a diverse portfolio of over 30 programs
and $17+ billion encompassing a wide range of mission areas including: space domain awareness, space control, and defensive cyber operations, ensuring sustainment and delivery of cutting-edge capabilities to meet warfighter needs. In this role, he is responsible for program strategy and execution, as well as engaging with Headquarters United States Space Force, the Office of the Secretary of Defense, and other Departments and Agencies.
Col McClain is a seasoned acquisition officer with deep expertise in command-and-control, satellite, and global information systems, honed through key assignments at Hanscom AFB, Los Angeles AFB,
the Pentagon (Joint Staff, J-39), and operational test roles on the RQ4 Global Hawk and B-52 Stratofortress. He has a proven track record in rapid satellite communications acquisition and led the successful AFSPC-11 satellite launch. Previously, as Director, Advanced Capabilities Group, and Senior Materiel Leader at the Space Rapid Capabilities Office (RCO), he spearheaded classified space-focused
rapid development programs.
