SCAPR welcomes Col. Andrew S. Menschner for our April luncheon. Col. Andrew S. Menschner is the Commander, Mission Delta 31, Space Operations Command, Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado.  Mission Delta 31 is a ground-breaking blend of operations, sustainment and acquisitions units designed to increase unified mission readiness and resiliency of the GPS Constellation. In this role, Menschner is responsible for around-the-clock operations of 37 GPS satellites; providing warfighters and four billion worldwide users with position, navigation and timing capabilities; oversight of a $11 billion portfolio focused on development of advanced command and control capabilities; and production and launch of GPS satellites.

Speaker Biography

Col. Andrew S. Menschner is the Commander, Mission Delta 31, Space Operations Command, Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado. Mission Delta 31 is a ground-breaking blend of operations, sustainment and acquisitions units designed to increase unified mission readiness and resiliency of the GPS Constellation. In this role, Menschner is responsible for around-the-clock operations of 37 GPS satellites; providing warfighters and four billion worldwide users with position, navigation and timing capabilities; oversight of a $11 billion portfolio focused on development of advanced command and control capabilities; and production and launch of GPS satellites.

Menschner received his commission from Drake University in 2001. He has served in a variety of program management and staff duties within Space Systems Command, Space Development Agency and the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics.

Prior to his current assignment, Colonel Menschner was a student at Air War College, Maxwell AFB, AL.
