Klempner is the Deputy Program Executive Officer for Space Combat Power at the Space Force’s Space Systems Command at Los Angeles Air Force Base\, California. He guides a $17+ billion portfolio of over 30 programs encompassing the space control\, space domain awareness\, space combat power\, and cyber operations mission areas. Additionally\, he assists the PEO in approving program strategies\, delivering programs to meet warfighter needs and engaging with the Air Staff\, Service Acquisition Executive\, the Office of the Secretary of Defense\, and other Departments and Agencies.\nCol. Klempner received his commission from the United States Air Force Academy in 1998 as a distinguished graduate. He has operational experience as a Minuteman III ICBM combat crew commander\, evaluator\, instructor\, and flight commander. He has led the development\, test\, and fielding of multiple space vehicle\, space payload\, and advanced ISR capabilities across the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community. Col. Klempner served as Materiel Leader\, a command-equivalent position\, for NRO Ground Enterprise Directorate’s geospatial intelligence processing systems. He has also served as an exchange detailee to the U.S. State Department as well as Division Chief for Space Control and Remote Sensing systems under the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition\, Technology\, and Logistics. Prior to his current position\, Col. Klempner was the Senior Materiel Leader and Deputy Director of the NRO’s Survivability Assurance Office.\nCol. Following this assignment\, Col. Trimailo served at the Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) as the Lead for Wideband Global Satellite Communications Operations and Sustainment. During this assignment\, Col. Trimailo deployed to Southwest Asia in support of Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom and served as the Military Satellite Communications (MILSATCOM) staff Director\, Air Force Program Executive Officer (PEO) for space staff\, where he was a key advisor to the PEO on MILSATCOM acquisition and policy issues. After his first SMC assignment\, Col. Trimailo was the Deputy Chief\, Multi-Intelligence Analytic Division at the National\nReconnaissance Office (NRO) in Chantilly\, Virginia. In this role\, he managed a portfolio of projects developing intelligence analysis software and algorithms used across the Intelligence\, DoD\, and Law Enforcement communities. His goal \nis to foster small business competition within SSC’s $11B procurement portfolio in order \nto deliver the most innovative\, agile solutions to our nation’s warfighter and to expand \nour defense industrial base. \nPrior to coming to SSC\, Mr. Parra was the Procurement Center Representative (PCR) for \nthe U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) in Los Angeles.  He was responsible \nfor working with federal buying activities in California\, including SSC\, to ensure \ncompliance with relevant small business regulations and policies. \nMr. Parra started his acquisition career path at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory\, \nthe Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA)\, and private industry. As a subject \nmatter expert in the field of small business policy\, he was invited to work with the \ngovernment of the Dominican Republic to advise on the creation of a local small business \nprogram.
